If You Think Having Your Child Hit Buckets of Golf Balls at The Range Is A Good Way To Help Them Learn to Play & Love the Game of Golf...

Go Somewhere Else.

At Five Iron Fitness, we are strong believers in the Long Term Athletic Development Approach to help children develop the FUNdamental Movement Skills needed to play, not only golf, but any sport.

With the emphasis on FUN, young athletes are taken through exercises and athletic games that will challenge them mentally and physically.

Prior golf skills are not needed as this is an Athletic Development Program.

According to Dr. Greg Rose, a founder of TPI, the Junior Performance Center (from which our program is based) deviates from traditional methods of teaching golf to youngsters, in which children spend hours at the driving range.

“Instead, this program is based on the principles of long-term athlete development – rooted in understanding how the body interacts with the brain at different stages of life,” he says. “We believe it will help take golf to the next level in this country."
The goal of the program is to help them develop the FUNdamental Movement Skills that they are desperately lacking in today's culture of computers, video games and athletic early specialization.

Young athletes 6-10 will be exposed to the Titleist Cyclone Circuit, a circuit developed at the Titleist Performance Institute, that is comprised of stations of:
  • Agility
  • Kicking
  • Throwing
  • Jumping
  • Hopping
  • Running
  • Striking
  • Pushing
  • Pulling
  • Balance
  • Hitting
  • Rotation

Our goal is to make this the best 90 minutes of your child's week!
