Last November I posted a question to the forum regarding a golfer I was training who presented with several challenges (chronic low back pain, arthritis Rk Knee, torn meniscus Lt knee as well as having flexibility, ROM issues - I won't go over all the details again). I just wanted to pass along a huge thank you to Anthony Renna who took time to email me and provide me with some excellent advice as well as access to articles he had written.


This particular client informed me yesterday that he had a lesson with his golf pro and his golf pro was very impressed with how far he had come over the last 6-8 months. His comments were that my client had improved his flexbility, ROM and had "excellent separation" of upper and lower body with much improved thoracic mobility. He had all the physical requirements necessary to improve his game, he just needed to learn how to incorporate this into his swing.

It was a struggle at times to impress on this client the importance of the programming I had designed for him and it was necessary to do some of the "boring" work. As with a lot of golfers, they feel just more time on the driving range will fix their swing.

But, we both persisted and it is starting to pay off.
